Kirkwood’s ski season usually extends from mid November until late April.
Kirkwood Mountain Ski resort is located in the Sierra Mountains of Northern California on beautiful California State Route 80.It is a two hour drive from Reno or Sacramento. Caution: In the winter, avoid Shake Ridge Rd, and Fiddletown Rd. Avoid the Mormon Emigrant Trail as it is closed for the winter.
