A beautiful , charming area with lovely homes In the community. It makes for a nice vacation or retreat. The insides of the Holmes are cozy and efficient

Very clean and had everything we needed. The one we booked had a maintenance issue so we chose this one next. We cooked on the grill and had a fire in the fire pit with their s’mores kit. The outside area does need some maintenance and the beds were not as firm as we like, but overall, it was a great stay!

First of all, Guest services and the Property Manager were amazing. I cannot recall this level of care from any of my past travels. They were attentive and super responsive to my requests and I really appreciated it. For example, one of the frying pans were in really rough condition. I managed without it, but I informed Guest Services when I put in a request for more toiletries so that they were aware of it in case they want to replace it for future guests. We came back that evening and found a new frying pan and more toiletries than we had requested. The unit was super cute and just enough space for my little family of 4. The kids really enjoyed sleeping in the loft. The views were beautiful and it was really nice that the units were staggered and spaced apart. The community is nice and quiet. We took the opportunity to just sit on the community deck, soak in the views, and forget about our worries. Overall, it was the perfect mini getaway for my husband and son’s birthday weekend and we will definitely be coming back.

The home and location was beautiful. I stayed by myself for the week because my son was attending a near by camp at the Caverns. I was a little disappointed there was not a pool, as indicated by community map, but other wise everything was wonderful. WiFi worked well which was important for my ability to work. The home had everything I needed and the setting was beautiful. Mounteagle had a little more to offer in terms of shopping and restaurants. I highly recommend the Mountain Goat Market and the Piggly Wiggly was a better grocery store then the stores in Tracy City. Over all a great week, would recommend this house in this community.

We had a wonderful time. Fished and had a fire. The place was wonderful. We had booked for one night but was enjoying it so much we stayed another night. The host was great.

The resort area is beautiful and clean. There are multiple homes for rent within walking distance of each other. Our family rented 3 homes. The lake setting with outdoor amenities is relaxing and enjoyable. Everything about the house we rented was clean, well maintained and beautifully decorated. It was comfortable and relaxing.

Great little place for a couple! Altho the upstairs/loft does have a bed the ceiling is very low which means I had to crawl to check it out :-) So thoughtful to have k cups, laundry pods & shampoo available. Very happy w my stay!!

This was our 2nd stay at Retreat at the Water's edge but our first at Shore Beats Work. We LOVED it! The house had everything we needed and was really comfortable. Loved the deck and that we could see the lake! Also loved the private fire pit and the landscaping around it but our favorite thing were the chairs at the end of the path that sat down near the lake. We enjoyed sitting in them and watching the sunset. We spent everyday on the lake in our kayaks and we can't wait to come back to our favorite little retreat!

Greatest Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in (and I’ve stayed in plenty). The area and views were exceptional. The home was comfortable and nicely appointed. We appreciated the cards, games, and puzzle and made use of all of them. For a tiny home, the bathroom is spacious. The beds are comfortable. The host is amazingly responsive. Absolutely zero complaints. Thanks so much!

Spectacular design, views, comfort, amenities. Simply an exceptional stay!! The kitchen is well equipped, the bathroom/shower is large, we made use of the cards and games, the neighborhood is beautiful, and sitting in the chairs down by lake is so peaceful. Owner is a great communicator. Not far at all from Sewanee, so I’ll let others know about this property! Heck, I’d buy this property if you ever want to sell. Amazing getaway!!

Gorgeous little cabin overlooking the river. Spending evenings on the patio relaxing was excellent after a long day of hiking. Also very close to the caverns!

Wonderful peaceful place to exhale. Beautiful views of lake and surroundings! Home very clean and well equipped. Plenty of blankets annd extra pillows. Bed was comfortable. Bath towels were nice. Very quiet annd relaxing! Enjoyed all the outdoor space and fire pit for roasting marshmallows was a treat! Felt very safe being in a gated community area. Would not hesitate to go back!

I was looking for peace and relaxation to exhale and Shore Beats Work was that place! Great views of lake. Felt safe and secure in gated community. Great outdoor space to relax. Home was clean and comfortable and felt roomy with the high ceilings. Bathroom was larger than I expected with great walk in shower and nice towels. Kitchen was well equipped for my weekend stay. I enjoyed the outdoor fire pit and the comfy Adirondack chairs! Would love to go back and will!

This tiny cabin was clean, modern and cute! It was super hard to find at dark once Turning into the community. You pull to the driveway and see a door and a deck…. That’s not the entrance. You have to walk around to the back to use the keypad for entry which is fine but was not super clear. There are not blinds or shades in the upstairs loft so be aware of that. The place did feel secure. The back deck was covered which was nice and there was good outdoor lighting. The washer and dryer was a nice addition. There was coffee available too. The shower was big. We overall enjoyed this cabin!

The best place we've ever been. The owners thought of every detail for what would be needed. Only thing you need is your food and clothes. Local eating out is limited. Rental was EXACTLY as presented. Living room very cozy. Bed very comfortable. Several outdoor living spaces. Nice view. Loft seemed very cozy too but we didn't sleep up there. Probably a fun place for kids.

Peaceful community in a beautiful location. We had the best time. There was coffee probided for the morning and 2 small grocery stores close by for everything else.

Stayed here for a nearby concert at The Caverns. Easy drive to the venue and close to nearby hiking. Perfect size for two couples.

My husband and I spent a few days over Thanksgiving at Retreat at Waters Edge. The Shore Beats Work tiny home was perfect for our visit. The home was fully furnished with everything we needed. We enjoyed both the decks, the fire pit and the seating near the lake. The area was perfect for day hikes. The location was perfect to go to the wonderful bakery in Tracy City and restaurants in Monteagle. Sewanee is close too.

Just what we needed to get away from everyday life. Cute property with a view of the lake. We enjoyed coffee on the deck, a hike nearby, a kayak tour, and a fire in the fire pit. Would definitely rent again for the 2 of us if needed in the future. Thank you!

We stayed here over Thanksgiving weekend and to say it was one of the greatest moments of our lives is an understatement! We were blown away with how beautiful and modern the tiny home was as well as the community around it. Such a breathtaking place to reconnect with nature. My husband and I did a “no screens” weekend and enjoyed our time together playing board and card games and taking a stroll through the community admiring the other tiny homes. The home was furnished to perfection and we really have not one complaint. We will definitely be coming back!

We got to explore both communities and hike and fish on the sunny day, but had plenty to do even when it rained the other day. Thank you for a great trip!

Perfect place for a fun weekend getaway! The house was spotless and so welcoming. Our two boys loved sleeping in the loft and roasting marshmallows at the fire pit. The setting is gorgeous! The location (pretty much between Monteagle and Tracy City) was also very convenient for hiking and restaurants. We will definitely be coming back!

We (2 adults) spent an awesome two nights at this delightful and well appointed tiny home… Which is not tiny at all by European standards, FYI :) I expected it to be ideal for a quick escape from work, but it was way better. Would stay again. Construction was absolute non-issue as suspended on the days we were there. Great place to do nothing and love it! Lake is beautiful and I expect amenities will only get better as developement continues. Hosts also super responsive and helpful. Thanks! Peter

Wonderful weekend get away! The sunrises and sunsets on the lake were absolutely beautiful! The house was extremely clean and provided all the necessities for our stay….even the firewood! We will be renting again. Best weekend we have had in a long time!

This lovely Tiny Home is well appointed and very comfortable. While not directly on the lake, it does have beautiful views of it. The Retreat staff was extremely helpful, especially when I got lost in the neighborhood!

Everything about this tiny house said relax. The house was generously furnished and cutely decorated with a lake theme at the lake The bedroom had a tv with a complimentary collection of light hearted DVDs and an attached player. The coffee maker had a nice supply of coffee pods, creamer, and sweeteners. Outside the fire pit had a stack of hardwood and inside were all the ingredients to make s’mores. There was clearly an attention to detail and it showed. There was even a lake themed night light and buoy salt and pepper shakers. The patio furniture was great for morning coffee and sun in afternoon. Approximately titled Shore Beats Work! Looking forward to a return visit.

We where looking for a vacation spot never new it was in our own backyard.i would recommend this Tiny House Reteat and would like to own one.

The home, Shore Beats Work, was a lovely escape for my family. The loft was quickly claimed by our 13 year old. The kitchen was well equipped, bathroom roomy enough and the beds were of good quality. We look forward to coming back in the future.
