Nice little house. Comfortable and clean.

Love these tiny homes. This is our second year now staying in one of these. Unfortunately our a/c messed up but they were quick with getting it fixed. Already looking forward to next year.

This place was wonderful, quiet, peaceful, plenty of space and clean. I really enjoyed staying here, close to everything. Would definitely book again!

Quiet, great getaway for couples

My daughter & I stayed here for the weekend she was participating in a horse show. It was a great place to come back to after a long day at the barn. The shower is so nice & roomy!

We loved the place. Such a cute tiny home, but with plenty of space for just two. It was New Year’s, so not much was open; but we will definitely be back to try some of the restaurants in the area.

Easy access in and out of the Deer Lick tiny home community. Well maintained with all necessities. Sleeps six, but you would be extremely crowded if you could not go outside, even with small children. However, the bunk bed adjacent to the main bedroom makes a great place to manage your luggage and clothing.

Very nice property. The Stargazer was nice and cozy. There's a TV in both the living room and bedroom. The inclosed patio was great to have for someone who likes to get up early with some hot cocoa, sit out and listen to nature. The shower is very roomy too. I'm coming back!!

Fantastic tiny home with 2 TVs and WiFi, sleeps up to 6 if needed, with washer/dryer. The name is very appropriate!! I went outside in the evening and the stars were everywhere! A great place to stay, will definitely be staying at Stargazer again in the future.

This is a fun place to visit with others. We rented this tiny home with some other family members (who got their own place in the community) and it was great to be close to one another and gather at the community fire pit area. There is also a playground that the kids loved. We were also able to use the amenities at waters edge (the Retreat) which had a pond to kayak in and a big playground for the kids. The hike to the waterfall was great at deer lick. The home was very clean and the place was very quiet which we enjoyed. Be sure to come with your groceries from home. There is a local grocery but with very limited items. This place would be beautiful to visit in the fall! Everyone was very friendly and communication with host was very good. Had a great trip!

The Stargazer tiny home was so cute and the perfect place for a quick girls’ trip to Monteagle. It was in a great location and had everything we needed. It was exactly as shown in the pictures and was very convenient to everything we did. I would definitely stay there again!

The tiny home at The Retreat was a great place to stay while we were in the area for something at the nearby university in Sewanee. Very easy, very clean and very peaceful.

Great tiny house for a girls’ weekend close to hiking and a few good restaurants (not many though!). Great community of tiny homes with some community spaces and trails, but still quiet (in March at least). We had an issue with the shower head and the management was very responsive, sent someone out to diagnose the problem and then replaced it immediately. Very cute decor and comfortable beds (we did not use the loft). The only thing we wished was in the kitchen was a toaster, but everything was adequate. Great experience!

The stargazer tiny home was such a beautiful experience. My favorite part of the stay was being able to walk to the waterfall! It was a lovely sight to see! It was nice to getaway from city life. We definitely plan on taking another getaway at the stargazer!

The Retreat is a really cool tiny house community in a peaceful setting. Had all we need for a short trip to the Caverns!

We loved our Thanksgiving weekend stay and would recommend to anyone that wants a break from the hustle and bustle. Nearby Monteagle was also an unexpected nice surprise. We highly recommend.

This is our second state in this particular tiny home. It was very clean, comfortable and accommodated all our needs. We look forward to our next visit to Deer Lick Falls

We have 4 kids and camping is not easy - equipment/sleep/etc. - but this trip took the good of camping - hiking, campfires, nature - and it left the bad - discomfort, cooking. Great community. We would do it again in a heartbeat.

This is my 2nd stay here, and it won't be the last! Now that I know where it is, it's easy to get to (my GPS wanted me to turn too late). I love the layout of the tiny house and two adults are perfectly comfortable. It's best if you can check in during daylight as the rural nature of the area makes it a little hard to see at night. I highly recommend the Stargazer, and definitely prefer staying here to a hotel!

Great location! Nice accommodations inside and outside of the home. Great layout so you can fit a good group of people in this tiny house. I would stay again. Only wish is for a 11am or 12pm check out time as 10am is early even for an airbnb location, especially with 4pm check in. The tiny house size should accommodate the later time as larger airbnb homes can accommodate.

Stargazer was a great tiny home for a few days away from home while working. It is a nice area and The Retreat is very well kept and beautiful itself. The house is missing a few furnishings that most other AirBnBs supply (like welcome basket, everyday "luxury" items such as coffee, sugar, bottled water, etc., and charcoal for the grill) but none of those are requirements, and all the necessities for cooking and eating meals in were provided. It was also very clean, and had plenty of linens (bed and bath) for a family. Overall I would recommend Stargazer and would stay again.

Stargazer was awesome! This was our first experience in a tiny home. Honestly didn't know what to expect :-) It was all rainy and nasty outside when we arrived. The house was skinny & tiny looking, but once inside it was perfectly laid out & had a luxury feel. It was beautiful, clean, cozy & luxurious! The couch was super comfy. We loved the fireplace! The bed was comfy! My 3 year old loved the bunk beds & the loft soooo much! Kitchen was well stocked, tiny, but perfect! The covered screened in area was a wonderful way to experience some outside fresh air even though the weather was awful. Thank you for a great Experience!!

This little retreat was spacious, clean, and neatly decorated. Home away from home. We didn't want to leave! It has everything you'll need for the perfect getaway including peace and serenity. We loved it!

We have stayed at a couple other tiny houses in the Retreat neighborhood and we like the setup and the setting. There was a small issue with some of the detailed cleanliness items, but the owners were very responsive and made it right.

Great place to stay if watching a concert at The Caverns!

Cabins are so cute! I want to stay in different ones. Hiking in the area is awesome and it’s just over an hour to Chattanooga and Nashville.

Easy check in and out. The tiny house was adorable and comfortable. Would highly recommend to anyone seeing a concert at The Caverns. You can’t beat the beautiful, safe setting. Would have loved to spend more time here, but we made the most of our one night stay and hiked to the waterfall. Thanks for a great stay!

What a charming place. It’s called a tiny home but it actually felt quite roomy.

This particular cabin, Stargazer, was nice and the area was really enjoyable. However, our stay was initially really stressful. We stayed in the Goat House cabin, and we immediately saw roaches in the home. The staff kept saying that they were just water bugs and only offered a 10% discount. After killing 12 roaches in the home the first day, I finally got in touch with a manager. They told me there were no cabins available to book through them. I was luckily able to book a cabin through Airbnb at the same retreat. While in the end we did end up getting a night refunded to switch cabins, I had to call and deal with this issue most of my Saturday. Instead of making it right from the beginning, the stuff continued to argue with me about the type of bugs in the home and they claimed that no one had reported a problem even though there were numerous roach hotels/traps already in the home when we arrived. Regardless of what you want to call them, there was a significant bug infestation. More than I’ve ever experienced in a cabin in the woods. We ultimately managed to salvage our weekend in the Stargazer cabin, but I wouldn’t stay here again.

If you want a quiet and great place to stay, this place is amazing! There are some attractions nearby that were enjoyable as well! I highly recommend it!

This is a nice unit and accessible if needed. It is located at circle and good if you have multiple families in nearby cabins. Not as private or wooded area as other units. Nice fire pit at central circle.

I went with my best friend for a girls trip. We were so pleased with the Stargazer. It was so comfortable and decorated nicely. The property is so peaceful and beautiful. The hiking trails were great! Can't wait to plan another visit there.

We had a great time staying in the deer lick falls tiny home village. It is close to great hiking in state parks and the cabins are great. Be sure to check out the hiking trails on the property. There are trails going along a creek and down to the falls.

Just stopped in for the night but definitely the kind of place you could stay longer. Checkin/checkout was super simple, place had everything, was really nice inside and the grounds were beautiful. Well done!

We loved it! The beds were so cozy and the kids loved both the loft and the bunks. The shower was much more spacious than I expected! We loved exploring the trails, climbing on the rocks and hiking to the falls. The communal firepit was lovely, some friends came and rented houses too for spring break and we were all able to fit and sit comfortably. The Stargazer is at the front of the neighborhood, but we did not find the road sounds disruptive to our enjoyment. We were able to find trees in front for all 3 hammocks. The playground was also nice and close enough to walk to. We plan to return!

great place to stay at. very clean and trendy inside. host read great to deal with. quick responses for our questions and very attentive to our needs. I would highly suggest buying food beforehand say your local grocery store and bringing with if possible. the Piggly wiggly is there but it's a bit pricey. also, laundry is available at the unit so bring soap just in case. we will definitely stay again.

StarGazer at The Retreat At Deer Lick Falls was great! The space was awesome. The outdoor onsite fire area was relaxing and added to the atmosphere. Accessibility to restaurants in Monteagle and Sewanee was super easy. Cute place but had issues with the heat. After trying to get it to work for about 20 min I called for help. I was told someone would be there right away. After half an hour no one had shown up. I finally got the heat working by flipping the breaker off in the electrical panel. In summary, fun little house with bad customer service.

We LOVED the Stargazer! Perfect size and the decor is lovely. Felt very cozy and stylish at the same time. Customer service was amazing as there was a snow/ice storm while we were there. Staff went above & beyond in making sure we were taken care of. We will definitely visit again!

Space was wonderful. My wife and I are very particular when staying away from home. The process was seamless, the home was very clean and the environment was peaceful. Will definitely be visiting again.

We loved the luxury tiny house and everything else about our weekend - the hiking trails, the creek, the waterfall, the communal fire pit, and the SNOW that we were graced with the final night and morning! The beds were comfy, the kitchen stocked for cooking all weekend, and the whole property great for the whole family. We want to visit again!

An amazing stay! Loved every bit of it.. they have a trail in the actual neighborhood which was a lot of fun and a bomb fire area that is shared with the community which was super beautiful. Super clean and amazing. The top floor is definitely gonna be the warmest part of the Airbnb if your there in the winter. Only thing I advise is to verify that all windows are locked and have a flash light with you because the entrance way to the front door to the Airbnb has solar lights and I guess because there hasn’t been much sun they never turned on on our 2 night stay.. which left the entrance way extremely dark. Other then that it was the whole cabin experience.

My wife and I love the retreat at deer lick falls. We brought our 3 adult daughters with us this time and they were thrilled as well. peaceful, quiet and relaxing. The Tiny homes are so roomy and well appointed inside. The retreat vacation rental folks are easy to work with and take care of all the details. Just super. We will be back

This was our 2nd trip to The Retreat at Deer Lick Falls. My husband and I truly love this little community of tiny houses. It is a very short drive from Nashville and you feel like you have gotten away from it all. They was a nice layer of snow in Monteagle making it even more beautiful. The Stargazer is very homey and decorated nicely. We used the electric fireplace most of the time as it was very cold outside. I had a few questions prior to check-in and our host was very responsive in answering them. The kitchen area is well stocked with all you need to prepare a nice meal. Also, a very nice coffee maker and full-size fridge are provided. It was nice to have a patio off the master bedroom, however the bed was a little soft for our liking. The home also has a nice screened porch off the living room side. We were unable to enjoy due to the very cold temperatures. The Stargazer does not have it's own fire pit, but there is a very nice community firepit right out the front door. This would be a lovely place to gather and enjoy a fire. We were part of a couple's retreat that rented 7 of the tiny homes in the Retreat and we will definitely be back. The Retreat offers the perfect place to decompress and relax. Oh, the hike down to Deer Lick Falls is definitely worth it. Overall a wonderful stay at the Stargazer. Thank you.

My wife and Went for a short weekend stay. It was the perfect size for just us 2, but big enough we plan to bring our 2 kids back in the spring. Cabin was clean, tidy and was very well-kept. Everything you might need is already there to cook and enjoy your time. Price was reasonable and well worth it. Definitely will be back to Stargazer!!!

My stay at the Stargazer couldn’t have been better. The home is very comfortable with everything needed for a quiet, relaxing time. I hiked down to Deer Lick Falls and enjoyed some spectacular views. Even though I was trying to be “off the grid”, WiFi and full cable services were available and very accessible. All in all a very pleasant stay.

Such a wonderful place-so clean and stylish-just beautiful inside and outside. Very cozy also. Beds were comfortable and loved the fire pit in the common area and loved the trail to the waterfall. The porches In our little place were awesome. Also felt safe there with the gated entrance too. Wish we could have stayed longer. A perfect place-will definitely be back as often as we can.

The Stargazer was comfortably furnished, beautifully decorated and the perfect escape from the busyness of our everyday lives! We enjoyed meals and games on the screened-in porch and watched a few movies on the nice flat-screen TV. The location was also a big plus, being just a few miles from South Cumberland State Park for a day hike and a short drive from Sewanee, where we explored the shops and enjoyed the beginning of fall color on the way. We highly recommend the Stargazer and we'll definitely be back!

Our first tiny house experience was amazing. Stargazer was perfection :) The hike to the bottom of Deerlick Falls was challenging but worth the effort. We will definitely be back next year !!!

Loved staying at the Stargazer. The screened in porch was perfect. I was pleasantly suprised to find a full sized table so we could work and eat outside. We could hear the cars from the road but it wasn't a horrible distraction. The waterfall was great, we were down there for 2 hours by ourselves. The community was wonderful can't wait to stay there again.

Our stay at Stargazer was a great getaway from the city for the weekend- we enjoyed the tiny house and how it was decorated- great to have the screened in back porch with surrounding deck- also across the way was a fire pit with nice wooden chairs rockers and swings to hang out in- definitely loved the Retreat with the walking trails and beautiful creek and Deer Lick Falls!

Our first tiny house stay was great. The complex trails and waterfall were quite and beautiful. I chose Stargazer for the screened in porch and I was pleasantly suprised to find a full size table to work and eat at. I was a bit sad I could hear the road traffic from the porch but it wasn't too bad. We are already looking to plan another trip later this year.

We have traveled all over the world and have never come back from a vacation so relaxed and peaceful. The tiny house is beautiful, cleaned and well equipped. Loved the gas stove and kitchen. It has two outside porches and a wonderful enclosed porch with a dining table for 6. This is a gated community of tiny homes and we hardly ever saw another person while we were there even though all tiny homes were fully booked. Wonderful walking trails. We took a trail to a magnificent water pool falling into a very cool and refreshing swimming hole. We spent a day on the trail and never saw another person. I cannot recommend the Stargazer more highly. We will be returning again many times. such a relaxing respite from the pandemic and these trying times. Be sure to visit The University of the South. Beautiful campus and incredible architecture. The High Point Restaurant (5 Stars) WAS INCREDIBLE. We ate outside in their garden listening to the sounds of birds and croaking frogs. The cuisine was impeccable. Perfect filet, seafood soup and great desserts.

Stargazer is in a gated community of tiny houses in the beautiful Tennessee mountains. Half way in between Chattanooga and Nashville. The property and hiking trails are amazing. We hiked to a beautiful waterfall about a mile from a trail by next to the Stargazer. We never saw another person on the hike and swam at the Falls all by ourselves. INCREDIBLE! The Tiny house was wonderful, very clean and rather spacious. two televisions and a wonderful kitchen with pots and pans, cutlery, utensils and dishes. It has two outside porches and a screened in porch with a table for six. It has a bedroom with a comfortable double bed, a hallway with two bunk beds and a loft with two single beds. Be sure to visit the University of the South which is about seven miles from the Stargazer. We had a magnificent dinner at the High point restaurant. It is a five star restaurant. We sat outside in their wonderful garden. The service and food were impeccable. It is such a beautiful campus and the architecture is beautiful. We escaped our home in Chattanooga and were there in fifty-five minutes. We have traveled all over the world and have never come back from a vacation so rested and relaxed. Three days with fees was 400.00. We will be returning several times over the next few months. I cannot recommend the Stargazer more highly!

Our stay at Stargazer was great and first time for a tiny home. It was a short vacation to escape the pandemic LOL. The unit was quaint and nicely decorated. It has all the amenities necessary. Would have liked if there was a little more to do around the area but a quick drive to Chattanooga provided what we were looking for. Would stay again

House is spotless and stylish! No light pollution and super quiet! Light filled house with a spacious feel in a tiny house!

The Stargazer is delightful. Everything was spotless and clean. I enjoyed my short time here and am happy to return. The home seems larger than a tiny house! The falls are amazing - I was the only one there.

Upon arriving to Deer Lick Retreat the first thing that you notice is a very neatly kept gated community. The tiny homes are very cute and neatly landscaped. The homes themselves are absolutely unbelievable and have everything you could want or need in a home away from home. The furnishings and the knick knacks throughout the home are very inviting and you definitely don’t lack for anything. Another nice thing is that you are located not far from the little town of Monteagle but still far enough out to feel like your in the country away from the city. Every amenity is at your disposal. The screened in porch is a great plus as well as the porch off of that where you can grill out and entertain with friends if you want to. If you’re looking for a great getaway or even a great investment for retirement or the future, Deer Lick Retreat is definitely the way to go.....thank you for the great experience!

Great place to stay to get away from it all. Great for hiking with a trail on site and many other trails close by.

This Tiny home retreat made for a much needed break. The home is Beautiful and calming. Great location for relaxation. We will return.

This was our first exposure to Tiny Homes beyond television. Had a great time. Friends joined us for lunch so we could introduce them to tiny homes. Will definitely do it again.

A great place to stay!

We loved everything about our weekend at the Stargazer. We chose to use the weekend as an escape from Atlanta. My husband found it to be the perfect space to relax as well as be outdoors. We enjoyed the town of Suwannee and our deer lick falls hike. The best part of our weekend was relaxing on the porch in the super comfortable chairs underneath the tiki torches. We can’t wait to go back.

It was a very pleasant and peaceful experience of living in this tiny home. The place has almost everything one may need for comfortable stay. Inside of this tiny home was welcoming and cozy. Outside has the space but needs some attention. The best thing of all was convenience of check In and Check Out. Internet is slow and only works at its best in the living room. For the rest of the areas inside and outside the internet struggles. But if you are actually looking to disconnect then this is the place for you.

My wife and I were looking for a local vacation (within 2 hours) and we love unique places. This fit the bill in both dimensions. The location was off the main road in a normally quite community to begin with. It's a new community with about 20 or so tiny homes in the area (with plans for more). The Stargazer was a very nice and cozy place. We arrived and were enjoying our new surroundings almost immediately. The living room/kitchen was the heart of the house, nicely done. No room for a table, but there was a counter that could hold 2 people. For a larger meal, there is a table outside in the screened in porch. 2 bunk beds are in the hallway going toward the back bedroom, across from a very nice bathroom. The back bedroom has a queen sized bed filling the room. A tv sits on top of a dresser for the clothing. There is a barn door closure on either side of the TV with cleaning supplies on one side and a closet on the other. Accessible through the living room is a loft. I do not recommend that area for anyone tall. you have maybe 4' of head space. Railing all around, so would be good for younger kids. The whole building is cooled by 2 heat/ac units that have remote controls. You will have to push the on/off switch several times before things start to work. Only other issue we had was that the door leading out of the building through the back bedroom doesn't latch unless you use the deadbolt. Amenities in the area includes a playground for younger kids (11 under) and a nature area with a "waterfall". I didn't go, but my kids reported that it was barely a trickle. As it was raining for most of our stay there, we really couldn't explore further. It's outdoors, can't control everything. It was a good thing that the site is close to Chattanooga. We had to do some fast scheduling from outdoor activities to indoor ones. Still had a great time. And coming back to the house at the end of the night was just what the Dr ordered. Next time we need to recharge, we will be coming back. Highly recommended!

Stargazer and its surrounding property made for the perfect short getaway from the hectic pace of daily life. It delivered in every way. I would highly recommend this quaint little tiny home to anyone looking for a quick escape into natural surroundings.

This property exceeded our expectations! The tiny house was perfect for my family of 5. Our 3 kiddos loved the playground, hiking, the fire pit, playing games, and then also enjoyed watching Netflix when they were ready to unwind for the day. There is an incredible waterfall on the property that is a must see. Monteagle is wonderful with little shops and restaurants. We ate at the Mountain Goat and Shenanigans. Both were amazing. I highly recommend this spot for a retreat. We stayed 3 nights and I wish we would have stayed longer.

Best get-a-way we have ever had!

Absolute beautiful place to stay with breathtaking waterfalls around, local businesses, and small town feel. Can’t wait to come back and bring more friends. One of my most favorite Airbnb’s I have ever stayed in.
