We loved it! Especially the fire pit in the back and cooked out one night, as well. We enjoyed walking around Sunset Bluffs and hope to be back soon.

New neighborhood, quiet and peaceful. I was ahead of schedule and contacted the host and was able to check in a little early since family coming from the south was caught in traffic. Very clean home and dog friendly (reason we chose it). GPS doesn’t recognize the address but it is easily findable without GPS!

Dare we leave a positive review?! We want to keep this place to ourselves! This home was perfectly situated under tall tree coverage and setback from the street. We really felt like we were in the woods, but with home comforts. The community is very quiet and the street did not have much traffic. According to the map, however, the common area and swimming pool are going to be located up the street from this home. The home itself was spacious for 2 humans and 3 dogs. There is enough sleeping for 6, but with 1 bathroom, that might be a bit much. We spent the majority of our days outside on the patio, which was cooled by 2 ceiling fans; so, if you’re planning spending your days outside, the inside is sufficient. As described, the home came with enough pots, pans, glasses, silverware, etc. The grill was well-maintained and we used it to cook all our meals. There were also plenty of towels, but in case you run out, or get your clothes dirty like we did, the euro style W/D comes in handy.

We’re hesitant to leave a positive review because we don’t want anyone else know about this gem! The home had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend and it was made even better with the quick and detailed communication from the Retreat team. The home had enough space for 2 humans and 3 dogs. The loft was a nice bonus which we really only used to setup a laptop to pretend we would be doing some work (didn’t happen). The bedrooms have just enough space for the full-sized bed and they are comfortable with a refreshing ceiling fan. If I there was any drawback it would be the bed size, but that’s a personal preference, not a complaint against the home. Overall, the inside was enough space for us. We can see how 6 people could sleep in the home, but it will be tight with only one bathroom. Just spend most of the day lounging outside and come in for shower and bed! We appreciated the privacy of the home: it is one of the few in the community without neighbors directly around it. It is setback from the street with lots of tree cover. It is not on the “main” street so there is minimal car traffic. However, the common area and pool are mapped out to be a few doors up from this home. The community as a whole was very quiet with a few fast cars driving up to one of the houses. We saw a few people walking or with their dogs; otherwise, you could only hear nature. Thank you so much for the Retreat’s hospitality and making sure we were comfortable throughout the weekend. We cannot wait to visit this home and the area soon!

Really enjoyed the off the road privacy and modern interior. Everything was clean and organized when we arrived- definitely be back!

Pros: Beautiful community of homes in a stunning little village in the woods. Great for a weekend getaway. House is actually quite spacious despite it being labeled as "Tiny" which was a pleasant surprise. Check-in was easy. They had all the necessary amenities and pretty much though of everything. Cons: Beds aren't the most comfortable but wasn't a huge deal. Overall it was a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend!

This house was perfect for my family. We loved the wooded setting with huge front porch, private firepit and outdoor cozy lights. The stars were beautiful! The fenced part of the property allowed my dog to safely run around. The home was immaculate with great furniture. It was spacious, stylish, and had everything we needed. (If you need conditioner for your hair, be sure to bring your own - just a heads up for my curly girl friends) I highly recommend staying at this perfect little retreat!

The Great Escape is just what we needed for a weekend getaway. This home sits off the main road just enough to have privacy. The home was extremely clean and well designed. The fenced yard was a plus for our dog. Would highly recommend staying at this home especially if you have a fur baby!

Secluded cabin in a gated, tiny home community. Less than 10 min. drive to several restaurants and a grocery store, and yet it still felt we were far enough away from everything. Lots of hiking trails of every skill level within short driving distance. We especially loved being given access to the private Deer Lick community so we could hike to Deer Lick Falls. A must see if you stay in this tiny home.

Great outdoor deck and fire pit area.

Highly recommend this cabin. Have stayed at several cabins in NC and TN, this one was super clean, in a beautiful and safe neighborhood. Would have loved to stay longer. Driveway is a bit steep for regular cars, our Jeep had no problem though. Amazing patio, perfect for grilling or relaxing.

The cabin was secluded and quiet in a beautiful neighborhood with incredibly friendly neighbors. Close to town and to great hiking but far out enough to feel truly secluded.

Nice new build mini home. Comfortable beds. Amazing deck. Only two recommendations, a larger TV and a larger, more comfortable couch in the living area,

By far, our favorite part of this rental was the porch. We were sitting outside more than we were inside. We had a few showers and sitting outside during the rain was so peaceful. This was our 5th rental in the tiny home communities, and we've not been disappointed yet. Great stay!

This cabin is very spacious in the main room with a very well stocked kitchen which we appreciated for cooking. The location is close to some of our favorite hiking trails as well as Tracy City and Monteagle for eating out. A nice enclosed space for a dog. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to a future visit.

This house really was "The Great Escape". It's set back from the road so you feel like you're in the middle of the woods. House is modern and clean with a large front deck. We didn't have a chance to use the fire pit, but plenty of chairs surrounding it for a relaxing evening.

Fantastic, pristine home! Great customer service & communication from Retreat Vacations. The property was on a beautiful, secluded, wooded lot with fabulous outdoor areas for the whole family! Fire Pit and Deck are as good as it gets for enjoying the natural surroundings. Home was immaculate and well appointed with all we needed. The fenced in area and LVP floors allowed us to relax and enjoy traveling with our pets and was the perfect size for two couples! Highly recommend you rent this 5-star property for your next getaway!

The home was wonderful. Immaculate, well appointed with all you would need! The location was secluded with a beautiful wooded lot, fantastic deck & fire pit! It was perfect for 2 couples traveling with pets!! Very pet friendly with a fenced area for walking. My only suggestion is a little More seating in Living room…comfortable for 4 to watch a movie. Will, definitely, visit again! Thanks for the wonderful, relaxing getaway!

We love staying at these tiny home communities in Monteagle! This one in particular was great for our dog, as there was a lot of wilderness for him to explore and not many homes right around us.

The instruction to find the airbnb is a bit of confusing, for some reason Apple map took us to the wrong location, and we arrived around midnight it was dark and hard to see the signs on the road. But the host were really helpful and answered our calls even though it was late at night. The airbnb is super clean and we loved our stay. Is very spacious, I love the balcony and would highly recommend.

What a lovely cabin! It was extremely well equipped with plenty of extras. Most places only offer you one or two coffee pods, dish soap, etc.; but this place was fully stocked. We paid extra to bring our dog and there was a mat for food dishes as well as an enclosed outdoor run. Initially, there were not enough towels, but I contacted management and they quickly rectified the situation. Highly reccomend!

This house was perfect and in a perfect setting. Every thing we needed was provided, including a fenced area for our dog. We especially loved the deck and the backyard fire pit. We will definitely rent here again in the future!

The Great Escape was exactly that. We very much enjoyed the home and property for a long weekend, wish we could have stayed longer. They had every item needed and more. Loved the two bedroom layout as we have stayed in several tiny homes before. The best part it was dog friendly and we got to bring our furry family members.
